Not a day goes by where you don't displease your cat. It's just fact. Cats are picky creatures with a sensitive palette and an even more sensitive underbelly. Despite the fact that you practically fall over yourself to make Fluffy, Garfield or Patches happy, you'll never succeed 100%, and the sooner you know that, the better. What could you possibly be doing wrong, you ask? Oh, everything from petting them (too aggressive, not aggressive enough) to [feeding them](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/purradise) (dry kibble every day? really?) to not expressing the correct amount of gratitude at the [dead bird gift](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-happiness-scale) they just dropped at your feet will earn you the scorn and animosity of your cat. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 27% | Activity: 88% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Humor](https://www.trendhunter.com/humor) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Judgmental Pets:** Opportunity for pet products that cater to the discerning tastes of pets and their judgmental behavior. - **Pet Owner Guilt:** Opportunity for pet services that help owners alleviate guilt and meet the high expectations of their judgmental pets. - **Pet Parent Education:** Opportunity for educational resources that teach pet owners how to understand and interpret their judgmental pets' behaviors. ### Who This Affects Most - **Pet Products:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop pet products that address the specific preferences and demands of judgmental pets. - **Pet Services:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create pet services that provide support and solutions for guilt-ridden pet owners dealing with judgmental pets. - **Pet Education:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Build platforms and resources that educate pet owners on how to better understand, communicate, and meet the needs of judgmental pets. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Big-Screen Cat Ads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inaba.md) - [Feline Meme Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-meme-material-download.md) - [70s-Style Cat Snack Ads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/creamy-purrrre.md) - [Cat-Themed Vday Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cuddle-collection.md) - [Humorous Cat Collectables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tired-cats-gachapon.md) - [Cat Pet-Care Podcasts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-purrcast.md) - [Tantalizing Chicken Cate Treats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/here-kitty-kitty-cat-treats.md) - [Feline-Hosted Podcasts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whiskas-purrcast.md) - [Broth-Infused Cat Foods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jinx-cat-food.md)
