# Coral Canine Amplifiers Yorkie iPod Speaker Blasts Tunes Instead of Barking By Matt Ho | Published 2011-08-10 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yorkie-ipod-speaker References: [chipchick](http://www.chipchick.com/2011/08/yorkie-juicey.html) & [juicycouture](http://www.juicycouture.com/product/xarug104/yorkie-ipod-speaker) At first glance I actually thought that the Yorkie iPod Speaker was a real dog wearing a [miniature backpack](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airpack-backpack). Pet owners need not worry though, this adorable canine is fake and thus, is not subject to any torture. The Yorkie iPod Speaker comes from the very popular [fashion brand Juicy Couture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nautica-urban-sp100). The back pack is where the MP3 player docks so that it doesn't get exposed to any rough weather conditions. The paws indicate that it's where users are supposed to control volume and playback, which is quite adorable since you'd have to shake the paw to get a response. As is the case with many [portable speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stormbox-mini), as long as the device has a headphone jack, just about any MP3 player will be compatible with it. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 52% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Fashionable Pet Tech:** Opportunity to combine fashion and technology in pet accessories for a stylish and functional market. - **Interactive Pet Accessories:** Opportunity to develop pet accessories with interactive features for a more dynamic pet experience. - **Pet Speaker Systems:** Opportunity to create more speaker systems designed as adorable animal companions. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Pet Accessories:** A thriving market that can incorporate new disruptive technologies into functional and fashionable pet gear. - **Portable Speakers:** Companies in this industry can expand their product lines to include more unique and interactive designs that cater to a specific market. - **Fashion:** Fashion brands can branch out into pet accessories and embed technology for more dynamic and unique fashion pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Comforting Musical Collars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/music-mutz.md) - [AI-Powered Companion Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puppimily-touchscreen-speaker.md) - [Bear-Themed Audio Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rinaro.md) - [Pocket-Sized Portable Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miniroll.md) - [Headphone-Holding Speaker Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cornucopia-speaker.md) - [Posh Power-Free Smartphone Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amplifying-speaker.md) - [Critter-Like Kid-Friendly Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-grejsimojs-mouse-speaker.md) - [Screen-Free Kids Streaming Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jooki.md) - [Colorful Bear Bluetooth Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audio-color-block-400.md)
