Yoav Avinoam, a designer from Israel and a recent graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, has created a [seat](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cornice) of which he has named the ‘Shavings’ stool.

I remember collecting sawdust (my father's wood cuttings) as a child and using it to make magic potions, but Yoav Avinoam has put these [wood shavings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/salvage-and-sap) to better use.

The sawdust that Yoav has collected is mixed in with resin and made into a mold. What a great idea for a workbench.
