The Yata stool is deceptively simple. It may be made out of an unassuming wood material and take on a [basic three-pronged shape](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/euljiro), but it can be utilized in a multitude of ways, which makes the Yata Stool indispensable in the homestead.

Created by Naoki Hirakoso, a designer living and working Tokyo, Japan, the Yata Stool follows the footsteps of the impressive [Kai Table](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kai-table). Unlike that morphing piece of furniture, the Yata Stool doesn't hide nooks and crannies beneath a folding surface. Instead, it can be shifted and stacked in ways that complement specific spaces better. In this way, the Yata Stool can be converted into a multi-layered coffee table or even a jutting shelving unit. Each stool fits together like a puzzle piece.
