The piece also features a unique [slanted aesthetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sharp-table) making the table also double up as a creative art piece. The table features two distinct levels that offer a varying height to the stand and a variety of surfaces to place knick-knacks, books and items on. The piece is comprised of a variety of wooden rectangular beams cut in all sorts of thicknesses and heights. Each piece varies in coloring from light wood to dark brown. The wooden pieces are stacked on a slant to create the base of the table with the largest pieces reserved for the legs. The surface of the table then showcases the array of colorful wood in a [circular gradient effect](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blur-coffee-table). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.8/10 - Popularity: 83% | Activity: 54% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Fragmented Furniture:** Opportunity for furniture makers to create artistic furniture by using fragmented pieces of wood or other materials. - **Slanted Aesthetic:** Designers can experiment with slanted angles and slopes to create unique and visually appealing products. - **Colorful Woodwork:** Woodworkers can add more color and diversity to their craft by experimenting with various types and shades of wood. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture:** The furniture industry can explore using unconventional materials and aesthetics to make distinctive pieces. - **Interior Design:** There is an opportunity for interior designers to incorporate unique and unconventional pieces, like the ones made by The Yard Sale Project, to add character and personality into spaces. - **Woodworking:** Woodworking industry can innovate by experimenting with different shapes, angles, and colors to create more visually appealing and artistic pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Marble Fragment Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miscellaneous-side-table.md) - [Colorful Contemporary Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/runda-tables.md) - [Interlocking Puzzle-Like Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connect-table.md) - [Puzzling Geometric Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linked-side-table.md) - [Playful Wavy Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wavy-table-design.md) - [Geometric Cutout Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/designated-table.md) - [Artistic Juxtaposed Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/koroi-side-table.md) - [Splintered Storage Console Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flitter-console-table.md) - [Asymmetrical Industrial Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mura-side-table.md)
