# Contemporary Craft Tables Y by Lehel Juhos Offers Crisp Modernd Design with a Charming Casualness By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-12-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/y-by-lehel-juhos References: [blog.leibal](http://blog.leibal.com/furniture/y/) & [juhoslehel](http://www.juhoslehel.com/furnitures/Y) The contemporary notion of minimalist design doesn't have to be cold, stark and stiffly composed, for some collections like Y by Lehel Juhos are crafted with a playfulness about them. This set consists of a table and four stools, each with bright white surfaces and black metal legs but there is a distinctive flair to the various components and their assembly. The decision to simply splay the powder-coated steel supports outwards introduces a lightheartedness that would not have been present were they perpendicular to the floor. Rounded corners on the glossy plywood tabletop exude a softness and cutout handles in the tops of the seats invite adaptation for a range of uses. Y by Lehel Juhos would make a great activity station for youngsters, a casual desk or even a lovely little kitchen table. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 5% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Minimalist Design:** There is an opportunity for disruptive innovation in creating minimalist designs that have a playful and lighthearted feel. - **Mixed Material Furniture:** Exploring different combinations of materials in furniture design can create unique and unexpected styles. - **Adaptive Furniture:** Designing furniture with adaptable features can cater to a range of uses and bring versatility to the modern home. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Design:** Furniture designers can incorporate minimalist elements with playful touches to create contemporary pieces. - **Home Goods:** The home goods industry can explore the use of mixed materials in furniture design to offer customers unique and customizable options. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can utilize adaptive furniture pieces to transform spaces to suit different needs and lifestyles. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Colorful Contemporary Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/runda-tables.md) - [Geometric Cutout Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/designated-table.md) - [Playful Wavy Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wavy-table-design.md) - [Contemporary Elegant Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-table-designs.md) - [Sturdy Minimalist Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sturdy-minimalist-table.md) - [Dynamic Geometric Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/designated-side-table.md) - [Impactful Industrial Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/to-steel-side-table.md) - [Ultra-Minimalist Metallic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whisk.md) - [Modern Customizable Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/customizable-table-design.md)
