This design makes the containers ideal for use as [public spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/radius-transformation-pavilion). The containers can be used as everything from shopping centers and exhibition spaces to accommodation or disaster relief camps. These shipping containers incorporate a series of folding panels on the inside. After being installed on site, the shipping containers' panels can be folded out to form walls in a number of different configurations. These walls can be fitted with different elements like electrical outlets, plumbing, monitors, television screens and more. The X-Tainer shipping containers are great because of the range of possible applications in context ranging from military and disaster response to business and entertainment. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 14% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture and Construction:** The flexible design of the X-Tainer shipping containers presents an opportunity for architects and construction companies to create adaptable and customizable structures. - **Event Planning and Management:** The adaptive pavilions created from these containers can revolutionize the event planning industry by providing versatile and easily customizable spaces for various types of events. - **Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief:** The X-Tainer shipping containers offer a disruptive innovation opportunity in the field of humanitarian aid and disaster relief, as they can be quickly deployed and transformed into temporary shelter or medical facilities. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Origami-Inspired Disaster Relief Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/prefab-folding-pods.md) - [Interactive Architectural Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-landscape.md) - [Humanized Waiting Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/de-wachtkamer.md) - [Shipping Container Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rising-sun.md) - [Tent-Like Exhibition Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bolack-pavilion.md) - [Efficient Shipping Container Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boxhub.md) - [Shipping Container-Built Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kennedy-model.md) - [Interactive Public Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/radius-transformation-pavilion.md) - [Modular Retail Frameworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/espacio-gdl-store.md)
