Conceived by Erik Edward Kim, this futuristic soaker is very much unlike any other you might have seen. The very body of the jacuzzi has a [skin-like quality](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canopy-bath-tub-filter) about it, complete with tiny pores that expel air into the hot liquid around you. Besides bubbles, the tub concept incorporates a [whirlpool pump and massaging jets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oasis-collection-1) that can help soften any aches in your muscles. Going above and beyond your basic bathing experience, the Xiuxi Bathtub has infrared lights to improve your blood circulation and your skin, plus the means to play music and modify its glowing color. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.0/10 - Popularity: 83% | Activity: 90% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Multisensory Bathtubs:** Opportunities for disrupting traditional bathtub designs by incorporating innovative features that appeal to a variety of senses, such as sound, light, and massage technology. - **Skin-like Surface Materials:** Opportunities for disrupting traditional bathtub materials by incorporating skin-like surfaces that utilize tiny pores to expel air into the water. - **Smart Bathtubs:** Opportunities for disrupting traditional bathtub functionality by incorporating smart features, such as the ability to play music, modify color, and improve circulation using infrared lights. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** Innovative bathtub designs could disrupt the traditional home decor industry by integrating cutting-edge features to create unique sensory experiences for consumers. - **Hospitality:** Luxury hotels could disrupt the hospitality industry by incorporating advanced bathtubs with unique features that create exceptional guest experiences and set them apart from competitors. - **Bathroom Fixtures:** Traditional bathroom fixtures companies could disrupt the industry by incorporating innovative bathtub designs that offer a variety of features and compete with luxury brands. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Automated Relaxation Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-bathtub.md) - [Japanese Snack Box-Inspired Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bento-starck-box.md) - [Luxe Translucent Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lusso-amore-freestanding-resin-bath.md) - [Rounded Hydromassage Tubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aretusa-tub-by-claudio-papa.md) - [Sophisticated High-Design Bath Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soaking-tub.md) - [Customizable Minimalist Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acquabella-noon-slate.md) - [Hardwood Based Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beam-bathtub.md) - [Removable Bathtub Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathtrope.md) - [Digital Bath Bombs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bath-bot.md)
