The peripheral features a textured finish in the signature red and black color scheme of Deadpool's costume, while the rear has a butt-shaped section as a nod to the character's figurative and literal cheeky behavior. The controller has been created in celebration of the Deadpool & Wolverine movie that's slated to hit theaters this summer on July 26, 2024. Xbox spoke on the Xbox Cheeky Controller saying, "In anticipation of [Marvel Studios'](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cnc-and-heineken-collectibles) 'Deadpool & Wolverine' coming to theaters on July 26, Deadpool himself has teamed up with Xbox to design a custom Xbox Wireless Controller that everyone will want to get their hands on. Modeled after Deadpool's much-discussed, perfectly rounded tush, the Deadpool-designed controller is available for one lucky fan to enter for a chance to win via a global sweepstakes alongside other custom Xbox hardware." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 7.0/10 - Popularity: 91% | Activity: 92% | Freshness: 26% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Pop-culture-gaming Crossovers:** Custom gaming controllers modeled after popular movie characters represent a trend where entertainment franchises blend with gaming accessories. - **Novelty-themed Hardware:** The creation of cheeky, character-inspired controllers showcases a trend towards unique and thematic hardware designs aimed at niche markets. - **Limited-edition Collectibles:** Exclusive gaming peripherals tied to specific film releases suggest a growing market for limited-edition, collectible tech items. ### Who This Affects Most - **Gaming Accessories:** The development of unique, character-themed controllers points to innovation opportunities in the gaming accessories market aimed at superfans. - **Entertainment Merchandising:** Integrating popular film characters into merchandise offers disruptive potential in the entertainment merchandising industry. - **Collectibles Market:** The launch of exclusive, thematic gaming peripherals emphasizes emerging trends in the collectibles market for tech-savvy consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Comic-Inspired Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xmen-97-xbox.md) - [Stylish Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xbox-wireless-controller.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/razer-boba-fett-xbox-controller.md) - [Superhero-Themed Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xbox-series-x-thor-love-and-thunder.md) - [Licensed Customizable Gamer Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wired-xbox-controller.md) - [Demonic Game-Themed Xbox Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doom-the-dark-ages-xbox.md) - [Chocolate-Themed Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wonka-xbox-series-x-console.md) - [Music-Playing Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/singing-xbox-controller.md) - [Minimal Game Console Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hyperkin.md)
