Made specifically to be used with the upcoming Forza 4 title, the Xbox 360 steering wheel has a futuristic U-shape that resembles something found in an airplane cockpit rather than a standard sports vehicle. The gaming accessory will be wireless and let car-simulator aficionados get a more authentic feel out of their [racing games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sim-racing) (though I'm wondering why people don't include acceleration and brake pedals along with [steering wheel add-ons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thrustmaster-t598) anymore). The steering wheel accessory will be compatible with all Xbox 360 driving games. You can expect the new Xbox 360 steering wheel to be available this coming October for $60. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 35% | Activity: 30% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Wireless Gaming Accessories:** There is an opportunity for disruptive innovation in the gaming industry by introducing wireless gaming accessories that enhance the immersive experience. - **Futuristic Control Designs:** Incorporating futuristic and ergonomic designs into gaming accessories can provide a unique and innovative experience for gamers. - **Compatibility with Multiple Games:** Developing gaming accessories that are compatible with multiple games can attract a wider consumer base and drive innovation in the industry. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Gaming Accessories:** The gaming accessories industry can explore disruptive innovation by focusing on wireless and futuristic designs that enhance gaming experiences. - **Automotive Simulator:** The automotive simulator industry can leverage the development of wireless steering wheel accessories to provide a more realistic and immersive driving experience. - **Consumer Electronics:** The consumer electronics industry can benefit from incorporating futuristic control designs into various products, such as gaming accessories, to attract tech-savvy consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Integrated Steering Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swift-drive.md) - [Ultra-Detailed Racing Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/essenza-scv12-sim-racing-steering-wheel.md) - [Steering Wheel Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gamesir-swift-drive.md) - [Branded Automotive Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ferrari-nintendo-steering-wheel.md) - [Licensed Automotive Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thrustmaster-t818-ferrari-sf1000-simulator.md) - [Stylish Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xbox-wireless-controller.md) - [Precision Pro-Grade Game Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sim-racing-steering-wheel.md) - [Game-Themed Console Peripherals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-controller-and-headset.md) - [Adaptable Shapeshifting Steering Wheels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dynamic-steering-wheel.md)
