The concept video, meant to be a "Poem to the horizon framed by the sea," takes you from a view of the horizon, across the sea to the island and up a cliff where the incredible home sits. There are several luxurious features in the Xalima Island House like the pools that hang over the edge of the cliff, furniture that bring elements of the outside landscape indoors, lush plants sprouting through certain openings in the floors, and more. Every element took great care to design -- even the stairs are a sculptural masterpiece as they travel up through the spaces on each floor level. Not only is the structure's concept beautiful, but the CGI animation shows how the sunlight will flow through the windows and openings to make the [island house](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pasparakisfriel) look magical and otherworldly. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 68% | Activity: 99% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Cliffside Living:** The Xalima Island House concept showcases the trend of luxury homes built into cliffside landscapes. - **Seamless Integration:** The Xalima Island House demonstrates the trend of seamlessly integrating indoor and outdoor elements in architectural design. - **Magical Ambiance:** The CGI animation of the Xalima Island House highlights the trend of creating a magical and otherworldly ambiance through innovative lighting and window placement. ### Who This Affects Most - **Luxury Real Estate:** The Xalima Island House concept presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for the luxury real estate industry by offering unique cliffside properties with breathtaking views. - **Architecture and Design:** The Xalima Island House concept opens up possibilities for architects and designers to explore innovative ways of seamlessly incorporating natural surroundings into their designs. - **Virtual Reality and Animation:** The CGI animation of the Xalima Island House creates an opportunity for the virtual reality and animation industry to showcase immersive experiences and visually stunning architectural concepts. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dramatic Clifftop Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-yuri.md) - [Cliffside Minimalist Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aip-azia-villa.md) - [Off-Grid Oceanside Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/campos-studio.md) - [Organic Cliffside Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/intaaya-retreat.md) - [Mountaintop Cantilevered Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/levitae-house.md) - [Luxurious Contemporary Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tropical-living.md) - [Minimal Ocean-Overlooking Villas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/achiot-villas.md) - [Coastal Island Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pasparakisfriel.md) - [Fiji Ocean-Front Estate Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reef-house.md)
