This [novelty billiards table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiburon-tables) is completely transparent and fully capable of hosting a game of pool despite the glass tabletop. The [transparent playing area](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sklo) has been treated with a special material called 'Vitrik.' This proprietary finish is "a coating and mesh multi-layer combination, fixed to the glass, which allows the balls to roll silently at a near identical rate to a standard cloth table." Those interested in purchasing the X1 Everest pool table should act quickly, as Elite Innovations has announced it will only make five tables a year. Potential buyers should also keep in mind that the X1 Everest is only compatible with Elite Innovations-designed balls, as products from other manufacturers will scratch the Vitrik coating on the table. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 75% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Life](https://www.trendhunter.com/life) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Transparent Pool Tables:** The X1 Everest pool table showcases the trend of using glass as a playing surface, offering a unique and visually stunning experience. - **Vitrik Coating:** The exclusive Vitrik coating used on the glass tabletop of the X1 Everest pool table demonstrates the trend of innovative materials that mimic traditional elements. - **Limited Edition Billiards Tables:** Elite Innovations' decision to produce only five X1 Everest pool tables per year highlights the trend of scarcity and exclusivity in the luxury market. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Luxury Furniture:** The use of glass in pool tables opens up disruptive innovation opportunities in the luxury furniture industry, offering unique and high-end designs. - **Materials Manufacturing:** The development and application of the Vitrik coating on glass surfaces present disruptive innovation opportunities for the materials manufacturing industry, enabling new possibilities for surface treatments. - **Recreational Equipment:** The X1 Everest pool table's limited edition and innovative design provide disruptive innovation opportunities in the recreational equipment industry, catering to niche markets and luxury enthusiasts. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modern Chromatic Billiards Collection](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monocolor-billiards.md) - [Miniature Toy Billiards Table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vintage-billiards-table.md) - [Illuminated Bright Pool Surfaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vetrite.md) - [Posh Pastel-Hued Game Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casablanca-ping-pong-table.md) - [Shimmering Oceanic Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liquid-table.md) - [Crystalline Gem-Like Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soda-coffee-tables.md) - [Light-Refracting Glass Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/look-mum-no-uv.md) - [Geometric Glass Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soda-iced-table.md) - [Optically-Designed Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enigma-coffee-tables.md)
