'[KTM](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roadlegal-supercar),' the Austrian manufacturer of motorcycles and other two-wheeled transportation solutions, recently announced that it is entering the four-wheel road car market with the 'X-Bow GT-XR.' This is a [carbon fiber supercar](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2027-bentley-continental-gt-supersports) based on the previously released 'X-Bow' track cars from KTM. The original X-Bow launched in 2008 and the more recent X-Bow GT2 debuted in 2020. However, none of these are street legal.

With the X-Bow GT-XR marking the first street legal road car from the brand, it is expected that more consumers in the [supercar and hypercar space](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dreame-technology-hypercar) will become familiarized with the Austrian automaker. According to KTM, the GT-XR boasts 493 horsepower and weighs only 2,755 lbs, thanks to its full carbon fiber frame and carbon fiber-filled interior.

This horsepower combined with the vehicle's weight results in a 0-62 mph in just 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 174 miles per hour.
