Minale-Maeda used aluminum bars to reinforce the frames of the [cabinets and consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabinet) within this collection, making sure that all components fit together in a stiff and steady way. For those who assemble the Wrong Colour Furniture System, it could be difficult to sort out which braces go where, so the studio enhanced them with [blue, purple and yellow finishes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tate-system) that correspond to the longways and upright orientations that each must take. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 22% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Color-coded Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a color-coded furniture system that simplifies assembly and improves user experience. - **Structural Surface Treatments:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create innovative surface treatments that serve structural purposes, combining aesthetics and functionality. - **Reinforced Frame Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design furniture frames with reinforced materials to improve stability and durability. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate color-coded assembly systems and reinforced frame designs to streamline furniture production and enhance customer satisfaction. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop structural surface treatments that add unique visual elements to home decor products, creating a new niche in the market. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Offer customizable furniture solutions with color-coded and structurally reinforced designs, allowing interior designers to create unique and functional spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Living Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cromatica.md) - [Contrasting Artful Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fluro-furniture.md) - [Modular Storage Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/original-modern-shelving.md) - [Balanced Freestanding Storage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ratio-series.md) - [Colorful Modular Storage Sysem](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/center-center-storage.md) - [Reworked Steel Forms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barred-collection.md) - [Colorful Dense Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joy-objects-1.md) - [Colorful Contemporary Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/runda-tables.md) - [Through-Colored Wooden Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roggbif.md)
