[YouTube](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mrbeast) DIYer Shock Slayer has created his very own flamethrower straight out of a comic book or cartoon. The wrist-worn flamethrower is cheaply constructed yet works flawlessly. My only knock on it is that it doesn't have a self-igniter. It has to be [lit with a torch](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-loopdot), but other than that, everything is on point. It seems in this day and age there is no limit to what a little knowledge and imagination can create. You've gotta check out the video of the wrist-worn flamethrower above. Flame on! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 15% | Activity: 66% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **DIY Flamethrowers:** The trend of DIYers creating their own flamethrowers is on the rise, presenting disruptive innovation opportunities for safety equipment manufacturers and fire extinguisher companies. - **Wearable Weapons:** The trend of wearable weapons like wrist-worn flamethrowers opens up disruptive innovation opportunities for personal defense and self-protection industries. - **Comic Book-inspired Gadgets:** The trend of creating gadgets inspired by comic books, like wrist-worn flamethrowers, presents disruptive innovation opportunities for toy and collectibles manufacturers. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Safety Equipment:** Safety equipment manufacturers can innovate by developing flamethrower safety mechanisms and protective gear specifically designed for DIY flamethrowers. - **Personal Defense:** The personal defense industry can capitalize on the trend of wearable weapons by creating innovative self-defense gadgets that are discreet and easily accessible. - **Toy and Collectibles:** Toy and collectibles manufacturers can tap into the trend of comic book-inspired gadgets by producing a range of safe, child-friendly versions of wrist-worn flamethrowers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Watch-Like Smart Phones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wristphone.md) - [Animated Show-Inspired Butane Torches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/butane-torch.md) - [Flame-Throwing Robotic Dogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thermonator.md) - [Wrist-Worn eSports Watches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/msi-gaming-pc-watch.md) - [Virtual Reality Wrist Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vive-wrist-vr-tracker.md) - [Human-Computer Interaction Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tech-at-meta.md) - [Breath-Activated Flameless Lighters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clean-torch.md) - [Vibrating Wearable Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xiaomi-wearable-speaker.md) - [Creator-Backed Toy Guns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mrbeast.md)
