# Intentionally Varied Seating Solutions The 'Wrap Bench' Offers Ways to Collaborate and Concentrate By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2018-05-29 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wrap-bench References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2018/05/29/refresh-the-workplace/) The [modern office](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/officetopia) has changed vastly over the past many years but still requires spaces where employees can [collaborate and be alone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kabin) respectively, so the 'Wrap Bench' has been designed to enable just this. The design of the furniture piece features [two seats that face separate directions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immaterial-0001) in order to let one person work on one task, while another partakes in their own individual process as well. This creates separation between individuals to accommodate those who need to get work done, while orienting another bench in allows for collaboration when required. The 'Wrap Bench' is the design work of Julie Hong and can also be customized with different features in the middle console like charing equipment, a magazine rack and much more for optimal functionality. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 92% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Collaborative Seating:** Designing furniture pieces that promote collaboration and individual work processes simultaneously. - **Customizable Office Furniture:** Creating office furniture that can be personalized with additional features for enhanced functionality. - **Work-life Balance Solutions:** Developing seating solutions that allow employees to switch between focused work and collaborative tasks easily. ### Where This Applies - **Office Furniture Manufacturing:** Opportunities for creating innovative seating solutions that cater to the changing needs of modern offices. - **Interior Design:** Providing customization options for designing office spaces that foster collaboration and individual productivity. - **Workplace Solutions:** Developing products that support work-life balance and flexibility in the office environment. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Contemporary Customization Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-benches.md) - [Quirky Solo Office Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/work-capsules.md) - [Bench Wall Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cubicle.md) - [Minimalist Privacy Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/furniture-seat-design.md) - [Hybrid Office Layouts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hubs-of-togetherness.md) - [Mountainous Modular Office Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/summit-furniture.md) - [People-Pleasing Office Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cubicle-system.md) - [Relaxed Anti-Distraction Seats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fortune-chair.md) - [Modular Hybrid Work Layouts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hybrid-work-layout.md)
