# Minuscule Marine Tanks The World's Tiniest Fish Tank by Anatoly Konenko is Adorable By Elsa Blaine | Published 2011-02-23 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/worlds-smallest-aquarium1 References: [toxel](http://www.toxel.com/inspiration/2011/02/21/worlds-smallest-aquarium/) & [konenko.net](http://konenko.net/) This [miniature aquarium](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rollingreef) by Anatoly Konenko is the cutest pet house I’ve ever seen. It’s touted as the world’s small fish tank, with teeny dimensions of 30mm x 24mm x 14mm. The tiny tank holds only 10ml of water, which is less than a shot glass, and is complete with wee live fish, gravel and [minuscule water plants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/small-muji). The diminutive fish abode was created by Anatoly Konenko from Russia, who even thought to make a miniature fish net to go with the [mini aquarium](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/littlest-float). Check out Anatoly Konenko adding the gravel with tweezers, filling the tank with a syringe and gently placing the little fish into their new home with the tiny brass net. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.0/10 - Popularity: 74% | Activity: 98% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Micro Aquaria:** Opportunity for creating innovative and compact fish tanks with limited water capacity. - **Miniature Pet Accessories:** Opportunity to design and manufacture tiny pet accessories like fish nets and supplies for micro aquariums. - **Compact Living Solutions:** Opportunity to develop products that cater to the growing demand for compact and space-saving living, such as small fish tanks. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Pet Supplies:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for manufacturers to introduce unique and compact pet supplies for micro aquariums. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity to offer miniature home decor items like tiny fish tanks as part of interior design trends. - **Design and Manufacturing:** Opportunity for design and manufacturing companies to specialize in creating customized and intricate miniature pet accessories. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tiny Pet Habitat Collectibles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miniverse-make-it-mini-animals.md) - [Modern Desk-Friendly Jellyfish Tanks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-jellyfish.md) - [Miniature Beer Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/worlds-smallest-beer.md) - [Micro-Sized Puzzle Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smallest-rubiks-cube.md) - [Miniature Milling Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kujietool.md) - [Ultra-Small TV Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tinycircuits-tinytv.md) - [Waterless Fish Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zhu-zhu-aquarium.md) - [Mini Hot Sauces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-hot-sauces.md) - [Nature-Surrounded Miniature Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-mini.md)
