Coming in lovely lavender, these AC cords feature intricately crafted pieces of a city scene and are sure to delight those looking to liven up their [electric outlets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/22-system). This devilishly clever design is the brainchild of Imamura Ken Nozomi Miyatake and it’s really got me rethinking why [cords and plugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flexible-charge-adapter) have to be so ugly in the first place. Sure, having multiple plugs similar to this splendid design could overcrowd things, but is it too much to ask for a little creativity from my electronics? The various pieces of this park-scene plug include church steeples, cars, tree houses, buildings and even a mini factory. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 16% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Creative Cord Designs:** The trend of aesthetically pleasing electronic cords and adapters featuring unique designs that liven up homes and workspaces. - **Functional Art:** The trend of incorporating art and design into everyday functional objects, such as AC adapters and cords, to elevate the user experience. - **Personalized Home Electronics:** The trend of consumers seeking customizable and personalized electronic accessories to fit their unique styles and preferences. ### Where This Applies - **Consumer Electronics:** Companies in the consumer electronics industry can consider integrating unique and aesthetically pleasing designs into their products to differentiate themselves in a highly competitive market. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry has an opportunity to expand their product offerings to include more personalized and functional art pieces, including electronic cords and adapters. - **Gift and Novelty:** Companies in the gift and novelty industry can capitalize on the trend of personalized home electronics by offering customizable and unique electronic accessories as gift options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Design-Conscious Extension Cords](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/willow-power-supply.md) - [Artfully Dynamic Power Strips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aunion.md) - [Modular Power Strip Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nodes.md) - [Design-Conscious Power Bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/power-strip-concept.md) - [Nature-Inspired Puffy Power Strips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloud-air.md) - [Power Station Outlet Adapters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anker-powerextend-usbc-plug.md) - [Minimalist Designer Tech Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-charger-from-counterpart.md) - [Pencil-Resembling Power Strips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pencil-multitap.md) - [Phone Charger Wire Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/co-cable-organizer.md)
