When you think of those certain politicians, you immediately picture them as evil figures. Some examples of disliked and world renowned dictators include Saddam Hussein, Fidel Castro and Adolf Hitler. Photographer and digital artist Chunlong Sun decided to show them in a new light. He wanted to imagine them as more kind-hearted individuals. The best way he thought of to do so was by infusing their [self-portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pix-plato) with [childish stuffed animals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hugarounds). Oddly enough, even with their grim facial expressions, they emit less of an evil aura than before. The results are quite comical and extremely awkward. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 87% | Activity: 63% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Political](https://www.trendhunter.com/political) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Plush Politics:** An emerging trend of infusing political figures with unexpected elements, such as stuffed animals, to create more lighthearted and comedic representations. - **Humanization of Villains:** A trend of depicting well-known or disliked figures, such as dictators, in a more compassionate and relatable light through unique artistic approaches. - **Comic Relief Art:** A trend of using humor and playful elements in artwork to provide a refreshing and entertaining take on well-known figures and historical events. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art:** There is a growing opportunity for artists to create unique and eye-catching pieces that challenge conventional depictions of historical and political figures. - **Photography:** Photographers can explore new ways of portraying political and historical figures by incorporating unexpected elements and diversifying traditional portraiture styles. - **Marketing and Advertising:** Brands can leverage this trend of using humor and playful representations of well-known figures to engage audiences and create memorable campaigns. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Fluffy Plush Collectibles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/urupocha-chan.md) - [Comforting Plush Collectibles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloudheads.md) - [Teddy Bear-Centric Apparel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boss-2.md) - [Charming Creepy Collectibles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deddy-bears.md) - [Emotional Exploration Plushes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emotional-baggage-by-solobo-toys.md) - [Plush Monster Collectibles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/labubu.md) - [Collectible Historical Figurines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thrilljoy-pix.md) - [Large Animal Plush Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polar-bear-oversized-plush-cuddle-animal-body-pillow.md) - [Adult-Targeted Plush Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/build-a-bear-after-dark.md)
