The 'Workbay' chairs feature an extended hood to help [minimize ambient noise](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/calm-collection) and thereby keep employees focused. The hood reminds me of a horse's blinders. Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec are fans of [high-backed seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sandie-collection) to foster a sense of privacy. Below, check out the privacy sofas the brothers made for offices. **Implications** - After all, if you want to help your office make it into the 21st century in style -- not to mention help it to stand out from other bland offices -- these [hooded office chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/branch-ergonomic-chair-pro) are a great jumping off point! The ability to mix and match these Workbay chairs with other decor makes these chairs a practical purchase! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 7% | Activity: 32% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Hooded Office Chairs:** Opportunity to introduce innovative office chairs with hoods to minimize distractions and increase employee focus. - **Privacy Seating:** Potential for creating high-backed seating solutions that provide a sense of privacy and enhance concentration in office settings. - **Customizable Office Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to offer office chairs that can be easily mixed and matched with other decor for a unique and stylish workplace. ### Where This Applies - **Office Furniture:** Opportunity for the office furniture industry to create hooded office chairs that enhance employee focus and productivity. - **Workspace Design:** Innovative seating solutions like privacy sofas can revolutionize workspace design by incorporating privacy features for improved employee well-being and productivity. - **Interior Decor:** Market potential for customizable office decor, including hooded office chairs, to cater to businesses looking for unique and stylish workspace designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Acoustic Workstation Hoods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canopy-desk.md) - [Avian-Inspired Privacy Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peacock-chair-concept.md) - [Quirky Solo Office Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/work-capsules.md) - [Customizable Office Privacy Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bay-work-pod.md) - [Comfy High-Backed Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highbacked-office-chair.md) - [Relaxed Anti-Distraction Seats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fortune-chair.md) - [Contemporary Office Privacy Booths](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plenum-cabin-by-jaime-hayon-for-fritz-hansen.md) - [Soft-Sided Cocoon Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buddyhub-desk.md) - [Sound-Absorbing Cozy Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buddyhub.md)
