# Tech-Hiding Work Tables The Coworking Table is a Work Station That Safely Locks Away Technology By Lacey-Jane Walsh | Published 2013-07-24 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/work-station References: [spicytec](http://www.spicytec.com/2013/07/lockable-coworking-table.html) & [zaarchitects](http://zaarchitects.com/) This cleverly designed work station has a [folding cover](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wall-desk-1) that allows people to safely lock away their laptops when leaving the house. Leaving a laptop on the kitchen table is fine for when you're at home, but in the event of a break-in, it would be stolen. This sleek work space conceals valuables, like laptops, and locks them in a safe place. This incredible work station is called the 'Coworking Table' and was designed by AZ Architects, a German firm. The workstation plugs into the wall, and has a concealed power bar, allowing consumers to conveniently plug in multiple devices at once. This hidden work station could pass for a modern end table when folded up, so it would likely go unnoticed in the event of a break-in. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 20% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Tech-hiding Workstations:** The trend of creating workstations that conceal and lock away technology provides a solution for safely storing valuable devices. - **Disguised Furniture:** The trend of designing furniture that doubles as functional workstations offers a space-saving and inconspicuous solution for work and security. - **Concealed Power Solutions:** The trend of integrating power bars and charging stations into furniture allows for convenient and clutter-free charging capabilities. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Design:** The furniture design industry can explore opportunities to create innovative workstations that hide and secure valuable technology. - **Home Security:** The home security industry can leverage the trend of tech-hiding workstations to offer consumers enhanced protection for their valuable devices. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can incorporate concealed power solutions into their designs, providing customers with convenient and aesthetically pleasing charging options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Technology Disconnection Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unhook-table.md) - [All-in-One Laptop Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/logitech-casa-popup-desk.md) - [Fold-Down Workstation Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/workspace-furniture-solution.md) - [Multifunctional WFH Lap Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arlo-skye-lap-desk.md) - [Computer-Equipped Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-coffee-table.md) - [Multifuntional Modular Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-transformer-table.md) - [Modular Fold-Out Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-wooden-workstation.md) - [Folding Multifunctional Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ignite-desk.md) - [Laptop-Stowing Portable Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lapcase.md)
