# Typography Wall Decorations For Interior Design, Words on Walls Work By Cowbag | Published 2008-12-22 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/words-for-walls-inspirational-wall-decoration References: [trendhunter](http://www.trendhunter.com) I have noticed recently a [sea of words for walls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/el-muro)--a trend that is very much taking over traditional pictures. They say a picture speaks 1,000 words but I am beginning to think that when it comes to interior decoration, words are where the attention really lies. So what do you want on your wall? Well, there are a number of examples here to get you started. There’s “Think” from [Cox and Cox](http://www.coxandcox.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=361), or the really expensive light boxes from [Pedlars](http://www.pedlars.co.uk/page_1869.html). [Rocket St. George](http://www.rockettstgeorge.co.uk/index.asp) is the other place to head for ready-made wall stickers with sentiments such as “Love” and “Home Sweet Home.” If you want to make your own letters, then I can not recommend highly enough the mirror letters from [Graham and Green](http://www.grahamandgreen.co.uk/results.aspx?kw=letters), who also do gilded letters. But for me the mirrors are the best--I love them so much! Of course, if money is no object, then go for a personalized neon sign. Whichever option you choose, you can’t go wrong. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 56% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Typography Wall Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore interactive typography wall decor that combines words and technology for a truly immersive experience. - **Customized Wall Stickers:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a platform that allows customers to easily create personalized wall stickers with their choice of sentiments, designs, and colors. - **Mirror Letters:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce a DIY mirror letter kit that enables individuals to create their own unique mirror letter decorations for their walls. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Leverage augmented reality (AR) technology to offer virtual interior design services where customers can visualize different typography wall decor options in their own spaces. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a subscription-based service that sends customers a new set of trendy typography wall decor every month, allowing them to regularly refresh their home interiors. - **Craft and DIY:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop an online marketplace specifically for selling unique and handmade typography wall decor created by independent artists and artisans. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Affordable Decorative Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-interior-accents.md) - [AI-Generated Wall Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/generative-ai-art.md) - [Nature-Inspired Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flower-power-moss-wall-art.md) - [Inspirational Quote Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/slideshow/quote-display-device) - [Customizable Book Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lagom-collection1.md) - [Statement Wall Covering Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/el-muro.md) - [Curated Home Decor Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-decor-for-home.md) - [Customizable Kids Wall Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doodleface.md) - [Creative Space-Enhancing Companies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bespoke-artworks.md)
