Bringing the cottage atmosphere home to the city, it's one of the best ways to keep up that relaxed mentality. Designed by YLdesign, the Woody Wood rug embraces an organic construction beyond its look. In order to achieve an authentic, [rustic look](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/textured-rug-design), the edges were cut and burned for an interesting effect. I particularly like how modern this carpet can still look. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 25% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Nature-inspired Home Decor:** The trend of incorporating natural elements in home decor creates opportunities for innovative products that bring the outdoors indoors. - **Urban Cottage Style:** The demand for urban cottage style products presents opportunities for designers to create rustic and cozy items that fit in city living spaces. - **Authentic Rustic Construction:** The trend towards authentic and handcrafted products opens up possibilities for designers to experiment with unique construction techniques. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can capitalize on the nature-inspired trend by creating products that incorporate natural materials and motifs. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can take advantage of the urban cottage style trend by offering design services that incorporate rustic elements in city living spaces. - **Textile Manufacturing:** Textile manufacturers can explore innovative techniques and materials to create carpets and rugs with authentic rustic construction. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Desert-Inspired Floor Coverings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dune-rug.md) - [Lifestyle-Themed Patterned Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quotidiana.md) - [Dynamic Flatwoven Carpet Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/matter-colection.md) - [Organic Pebble-Patterned Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grain-collection.md) - [Luxurious Handwoven Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crate-barrel.md) - [Elevated Modern Plaid Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tartan-shuttle-weave-rug.md) - [Eye-Catching Designer Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/designer-rug.md) - [Hand-Knotted Neutral Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-and-soul.md) - [Opulent Area Rug Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/winter-collection-1.md)
