Titled Cantamar and Granite, the collection is suspended as each rock is attached to one another while hanging in mid air. Based on a "Western Zen" motif, Davy relays [exceptional balancing acts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/calder-rver-en-quilibre) in each piece. His arrangements are supported with bits of steel, and while the material is present, it remains hidden and largely out of sight to the unsuspecting eye. Cantamar and Granite are also largely reminiscent of clouds. On top of the hovering motif, the rocks are also circular, mimicking the exact layout of skylines. In place of a blue color scheme is Davy's choice of a nude and yellow palette however, introducing fresh tones to the artistic niche. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 60% | Activity: 46% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Suspended Sculptures:** Innovative balancing techniques for heavy objects could be applied to larger sculptures and installations. - **Hidden Support Structures:** Using materials that are not immediately visible could add a unique element to sculptures and installations. - **Unconventional Color Palettes:** Exploring non-traditional color schemes could bring a new level of artistry to various industries beyond just art. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art:** Artists and sculptors could apply these concepts to create visually stunning and unconventional installations. - **Architecture:** Incorporating hidden support structures could change the way buildings are constructed and designed. - **Interior Design:** Unconventional color palettes could be incorporated into spaces to create unique and visually striking environments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Monumental Air Installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iwagumi-air-scape.md) - [Stone-Like Discreet Glass Viewpoints](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drifting-stones.md) - [Geometric Wooden Art Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aleph-geddis.md) - [Lightning-Inspired Artful Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bright-light-shining.md) - [Plush Sculptural Lounge Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rokko.md) - [Resin Gravity Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-great-tree.md) - [Volcanic-Themed Light Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stone-archive.md) - [Material-Accented Dreamscape Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dreamscape-exhibit.md) - [Climate-Awareness Soft Art Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dreamstones.md)
