The lamp is constructed with a wooden design for the base and frame, which lead up to a [suspended illumination unit encapsulated in glass](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuloa). The hanging form of the illuminator gives it a lantern-like appearance that creates a cozy, inviting aesthetic when positioned on a desk or bedside table. The conceptual 'Woodo' table lamp also features added functionality in the base with a dedicated spot to position a smartphone between uses, which makes it great for nightstand placement. The lamp strikes a balance between offering both targeted and ambient illumination for impressive results. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 56% | Activity: 23% | Freshness: 16% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Wooden Lamp Trend:** By integrating modern and old fashioned style, designers can create unique lamps that create a cozy and inviting visual impact in any living space. - **Functional Design Trend:** Designers can create fixtures which combine both illumination and phone charging capabilities, emphasizing an emphasis on functionality and simplicity. - **Lantern Design Trend:** Lamps that offer lantern-like appearances create a distinctive aesthetic that can make a statement in any space. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design Industry:** Interior designers can provide their clients with unique wooden lamps that add an old world touch of warmth to any room. - **Furniture Industry:** Furniture designers can improve their product line offering by creating modular lamps that combine illumination and charging capabilities into one fixture. - **DIY Industry:** DIYers can create customized lamps to add a personalized touch to any living space and showcase their creativity by using wooden and glass material to create a lantern-inspired fixture. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Wooden Sustainable Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodo.md) - [Sculpted Wooden Desktop Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sleepy-wood-desk-lamp.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Serene Wooden Dynamic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sleepy-wood.md) - [Japanese Lantern-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/madco.md) - [Elegant Compact Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-table-light.md) - [Bamboo-Inspired Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-desk-lamp.md) - [Nautically Themed Metallic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/khonsu-clock-lamp.md) - [Modernized Antique-Style Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/odina-table-lamp.md)
