Guillaume Delvigne has created a set of pieces with one that has a single flat surface and the other that has a split one. Both objects serve effectively as [side tables and footrests or ottomans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tom-dixon-fat-and-plump) but the latter of the two is particularly compelling. Just like its sibling, this piece is swathed in a [soft coating of fabric](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sander-series), with the exception of a small flat wooden plane that can serve as a tabletop. The user is invited to sit down on the lower level and use it as a seat, establishing the perfect setup to turn the Woodmoss Collection item into a casual little desk. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 63% | Activity: 26% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Versatile Furniture:** Furniture design that can serve multiple purposes and offer diverse seating options. - **Hybrid Stools:** Furniture pieces that bridge the gap between seating, footrest, and table. - **Soft-coated Furniture:** Comfortable and inviting furniture with a soft fabric coating. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** Innovative designs for multi-purpose furniture can cater to the demand of modern living spaces. - **Interior Design:** Versatile and hybrid furniture pieces can be utilized to create stylish and functional spaces for both residential and commercial settings. - **Fabric Coating Industry:** The increased use of soft fabrics in furniture design presents an opportunity for manufacturers in the fabric coating industry to create unique and comfortable products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Visibly Undulating Stool Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concave-stool.md) - [Terrarium Stool Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wild-stool.md) - [Sculptural Monochromatic Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monochromatic-stool.md) - [Wheeled Bright Stumpy Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stump-stool-1.md) - [Transformative Clover Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clover-collective-modular.md) - [Multifaceted Geometric Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stackable-stools.md) - [Colorful Dual-Purpose Stool Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/s1-stool.md) - [Slitted Dynamic Stool Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/menow.md) - [Bright Colorful Structural Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fels.md)
