The home was titled 'House in Bonfim' and was designed by 'AZO Sequeira Arquitectos Associados.' Its sleek cubic shape is quite standard for most modern homes, but the [wooden walls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-house-1) that cover the front and back of the home add a rustic element to it. The walls function as [protective screens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-corjeum) and have windows, while the slats themselves can be opened and closed much like window blinds. This not only gives the house a unique look, but protects the privacy of its residents. This home's slatted screens are both eye-catching and useful, proving that [privacy features in the home](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clifton-house) can be multi-functional. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 86% | Activity: 58% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Multi-functional Facades:** Home facades that serve multiple purposes, such as providing privacy and being aesthetically pleasing. - **Adaptable Screens:** Screens that can be opened and closed, much like window blinds, to provide privacy and protection from the elements. - **Rustic Modern Design:** Design styles that combine traditional materials, such as wood, with modern architectural styles. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** Architecture firms can expand their design offerings to include multi-functional facades and adaptable screens. - **Home Construction:** Home builders can incorporate designs that prioritize privacy and offer multi-functional features to attract buyers. - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can create products that mimic the rustic modern design style seen in this home's façade. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Curvaceous Privacy Wall Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kwk-promes-open-house.md) - [Privacy Enhanced Minimal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-open-house-1.md) - [Wooden Louvre Secluded Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-aoyama.md) - [Wooden Screen Apartment Blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ohlab.md) - [Wooden Louvres Family Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-slab.md) - [Housing Block Defensive Facades](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bureau-des-mesarchitecture.md) - [Angled Concrete Forest Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/block-wall-house.md) - [Blocky Stone Perimeter Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forte-house.md) - [Discreet Modern Brazil Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jf-residence.md)
