Her [textured storage unit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/touch-collections) concept is inspired Monterrey, New Mexico and its mountainous and rocky topography. The furniture piece is not only practical and perfect for living room spaces but is also aesthetically striking and sculptural in its aesthetic. This two-toned unit is showcased in a [natural wood finish](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nick-james) and is painted with a white paint design that appears to be dripping down its top. Alexis del Toro's wooden tv cabinet is a great addition to modern family rooms or bare living rooms that are in need of a focal point. Moreover, the piece can also be incorporated within a more eclectic space that is personality-filled and artful. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 51% | Activity: 27% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Nature-inspired Furniture:** Opportunity to create furniture pieces that take inspiration from natural landscapes for a unique and striking aesthetic. - **Sculptural Storage Units:** Opportunity to design storage units that double as art pieces and become a focal point in living spaces. - **Textured Furniture:** Opportunity to explore the use of different textures and finishes to add depth and interest to furniture designs. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** An opportunity for furniture designers to create unique and visually appealing pieces for modern living spaces. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate nature-inspired furniture pieces into a variety of styles of home decor. - **Art and Sculpture:** Opportunity for artists and sculptors to expand their work into functional furniture pieces that also stand alone as art. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Topographic Wooden Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/topographic-coffee-table.md) - [Volcanic Rock-Inspired Cabinet Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuff-pencil-cabinet.md) - [Forest-Inspired Wooden Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hayashi-cabinet.md) - [Curvaceous Storage-Packed Sideboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/embrace-sideboard.md) - [Sandbox-Like Modular Storage Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-storage-cabinet1.md) - [Fluid Topographic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dune-table.md) - [Nature-Inspired Mesmerizing Sideboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/genipadu-sideboard.md) - [General Store-Inspired Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haptic.md) - [Floating Stacked Storage Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kgt-wall-unit.md)
