# Timber Baton Brighteners Wooden Stick Ceiling Lights Embody Natural Forms of Minimalist Design By Amelia Roblin | Published 2015-01-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-stick-ceiling-light References: [leibal](http://leibal.com/products/s06/) & [thefild](http://www.thefild.com/so6/) Basic lighting used to mean candles, then lightbulbs, more recently. These wooden stick ceiling lights define a different sort of minimalist aesthetic that's certainly contrived, yet organically elementary. FILD takes components like wooden canes, hollows them out and then fits them with the integral working parts of electrical light fixtures. LED lights enable these slender pendant lamps to hold their slim cylindrical forms so that they assume the slightest of silhouettes. Still visible is the gorgeous wood grain texture that wraps around each lumber rod, and this is cleanly capped by a metal head that houses the bright source of the illuminator. These wooden stick ceiling lights can be hung with the best aesthetic results when they're installed in a rhythmic series. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.0/10 - Popularity: 57% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Minimalist Wooden Lighting:** The trend towards minimalist design can be capitalized on by creating unique and eco-friendly lighting solutions using natural materials like wood. - **Sustainable Lighting Solutions:** Creating lighting fixtures that are eco-friendly by using sustainable materials and LED lights presents an opportunity for environmentally conscious businesses. - **Organic Aesthetic Lighting:** Light fixtures that employ natural materials and emphasize texture and form can disrupt traditional lighting design and appeal to customers looking for unique and visually captivating products. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Incorporating unique and visually captivating light fixtures can add depth and character to interior design projects, particularly in spaces that emphasize natural textures and organic materials. - **Sustainable Manufacturing:** Creating lighting solutions using sustainable materials and eco-friendly manufacturing processes offers an opportunity for businesses interested in sustainable and socially responsible production methods. - **Artisanal Lighting:** Handcrafted, artisanal lighting solutions can appeal to customers looking for unique, stand-out and personalized products that cannot be replicated by mechanized, mass-market production methods. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Design-Focused Wooden Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-soul.md) - [Twisting Timber Lampshade Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twisted-lasercut-wooden-lampshade.md) - [Pine Wood-Inspired Minimal Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jakobsson.md) - [Soft-Linear LED Lighting Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pillar-collection.md) - [Artistic Ribbon-Like Ceiling Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-fellas-ceiling-light.md) - [Wooden Pendant Lamp Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wood-collection-1.md) - [Timber Wood Handmade Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/onu-series.md) - [Timber-Like Smart Light Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nanoleaf-elements-wood-look-hexagon-lights.md) - [Skateboarding-Inspired Wood Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blue-green-works.md)
