Europe is not composed of cities known for their high rises and Stockholm, Sweden, is no exception; but that is not what makes the Wooden Skyscraper proposal so intriguing. It may be a design that could instigate a change in the city's skyline, but it is also one that involves [wood, not steel and concrete](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/katajanokan-laituri). Yet since it could be one of the first of its kind, it is only natural that the Wooden Skyscraper would make a statement on more than one level.

Designed by Berg | C.F. Møller Architects, the Wooden Skyscraper is not made entirely out of lumber. Instead, it derives its checker-like facade from the use of a [glass exterior](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paviljong-rosendal). This adds a lightness to its look that is very refreshing. Nevertheless, the Wooden Skyscraper is dominated by wood for natural climate regulation, acoustics and more.
