# Sustainable Wooden PCs The Volta V Wooden Computer is Easily Upgraded and Stylish By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2017-01-17 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-pc References: [thegadgetflow](http://thegadgetflow.com/portfolio/volta-v-wooden-computer/) & [voltaputer](https://volta.computer/) Technology moves quite fast and is often touted as being somewhat disposable, so the Volta V wooden PC aims to go against this perception. Designed with a [wooden case](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flux-se), the Volta V PC features a [modular aesthetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/framework-desktop) on the inside that enables it to be upgraded easily as demands increase in the coming years. This is a far cry from what is possible with many of the name brand computers on the market that are often not able to be upgraded by the user and that become outdated in just a short while. The Volta V wooden PC is naturally a stylish piece of equipment that can be proudly displayed on a desktop rather than hidden away. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 59% | Activity: 38% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/computers) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Modular Electronics:** The modular design of the Volta V wooden PC opens up opportunities for customizable and easily upgradable electronics. - **Sustainable Technology:** The use of wood as a renewable and eco-friendly material in the Volta V PC presents an opportunity for the development of more sustainable technology products. - **Personalized Tech Accessories:** The stylish wooden case of the Volta V PC inspires the creation of personalized and fashionable accessories for tech enthusiasts. ### Where This Applies - **Computer Hardware:** The modular and easily upgradable design of the Volta V PC presents disruptive innovation opportunities for the computer hardware industry. - **Sustainability:** The use of sustainable materials in the Volta V PC opens up disruptive innovation possibilities in the sustainability industry, particularly in the development of eco-friendly technology products. - **Tech Accessories:** The stylish wooden case of the Volta V PC creates a potential for disruptive innovation in the tech accessories industry, with opportunities to design fashionable and personalized accessories for electronic devices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Special-Edition Wood PC Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/proart-pa401.md) - [Alternative Material PC Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fractal-north.md) - [Powerful Recycled Plastic PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microsoft-project-volterra.md) - [Collaborative Small PC Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dan-cases-a3-matx.md) - [Premium Wood Panel PC Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/montech-xr-wood.md) - [Liquid-Cooled Wooden PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/one-i500.md) - [Wood Panel PC Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lancool-217.md) - [Scandinavian Themed Modern PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/north-pc.md) - [Textural Timber-Made Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hacoa-full-kiboard-wireless.md)
