Consisting of a large dish, a small bowl, a pen holder and even a lampshade, this lovely line is ideal for bringing subtle detail to minimalist spaces. The four wooden origami pieces are produced with cherry, beech or American walnut. Each one is actually made from a very [thin and flat sheet of wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/charity-hanger) that is scored strategically into geometric shapes. These deep creases enable the material to be folded into multifaceted surfaces that provide understated formal intrigue. To accent these objects even more subtly, Another Studio lined the inside of the pencil pot with paper, and used white paper once more to extend the flare of the [pendant lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wood-collection-1). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 77% | Activity: 51% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Natural Material Decor:** Opportunity to create a line of home decor items that integrate natural materials such as wood and paper in new and innovative ways. - **Origami-inspired Design:** Opportunity to create products that take inspiration from origami and use geometric folds to create multifaceted surfaces and shapes. - **Sustainable Design:** Opportunity to create sustainable product lines that use eco-friendly materials and processes for manufacturing. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for companies in the home decor industry to incorporate natural materials and origami-inspired designs into their product lines. - **Furniture:** Opportunity for furniture companies to create sustainable and eco-friendly pieces that incorporate natural materials and origami-inspired designs. - **Lighting:** Opportunity for lighting companies to create origami-inspired lampshades that play with light and shadow in interesting ways. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Origami-Inspired Ceramics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-series.md) - [Flat-Pack Paper Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tsubomi.md) - [Origami-Inspired Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ori-lamp.md) - [Origami-Inspired Lit Table Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightup.md) - [Sculptural Paper Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragmenti.md) - [Foldable Wooden Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-folding-lamp.md) - [Sustainable Kitchen Gear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/legni-collection.md) - [Paper-Made Origami Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hanging-origami-lamp.md) - [Paper-Inspired Half-Folded Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/half-lamp.md)
