# Geometric Fruit Bowls This Wooden Fruit Bowl Has an Unusual Modular Shape By Mishal Omar | Published 2016-10-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-fruit-bowl References: [betterlivingthroughdesign](http://www.betterlivingthroughdesign.com/accessories/ooh-la-la-fruit-bowl/) & [caritas-nah-am-naechsten.de](https://www.caritas-nah-am-naechsten.de/Werkstaetten/Wendelstein/Default.aspx) Wooden fruit bowls in the home are a dime a dozen but the one designed by Martin Gschwendtner turns the design of the traditional kitchen object on its head. The bowl is not so much bowl-shaped as it is a geometric structure that can be put together or pulled apart when not in use. It comes in the form of three [magnetized wooden slats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hexagon-board-game-trays) made from oak that can be constructed to hold a couple pieces of fruit. When not needed, the [wooden fruit bowl](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-serving-board) can be taken apart and put away. These wooden slats make up a unique geometric structure that would function as an excellent kitchen item for people who live in modern homes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Kitchen](https://www.trendhunter.com/kitchen) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Modular Fruit Bowls:** The trend of modular fruit bowls is disrupting the traditional design of fruit bowls by offering a customizable and space-saving solution. - **Geometric Kitchen Objects:** The trend of geometric kitchen objects is introducing innovative and modern designs to everyday kitchen items, transforming their functionality and aesthetics. - **Magnetized Home Accessories:** The trend of magnetized home accessories is providing convenient and versatile solutions for organizing and storing various items in the home. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Furnishings:** The home furnishings industry can explore the design and production of modular fruit bowls to cater to consumers seeking modern and space-saving kitchen accessories. - **Kitchenware:** The kitchenware industry can capitalize on the trend of geometric kitchen objects by offering a range of innovative and visually appealing products that enhance the cooking and dining experience. - **Home Organization:** The home organization industry can leverage the trend of magnetized home accessories to create functional and flexible storage solutions that simplify and streamline the decluttering process. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mushroom-Based Fruit Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mycoworks-fruit-bowl.md) - [Dynamic Colored Glass Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tip-top-glass.md) - [Fruit-Inspired Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-stool.md) - [Fruit-Inspired Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fruitinspired-furniture-collection.md) - [Mushroom Leather Fruit Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-fruit-bowl-by-heron-preston.md) - [Wooden Magnetic Desktop Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oakywood-oakyblocks-magnetic-modules.md) - [Magnetic Wooden Sculpture Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magnetic-sculpture.md) - [Sustainable Kitchen Gear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/legni-collection.md) - [Wooden Modular Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deku.md)
