The series of cabins features a hut installed with a [retractable roof](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hee-house) and two sheds that can be opened with sliding wooden doors. The structures are built so that they surround a small patio, which can be ideal for summer. The main cabin is fitted with a roof that is able to slide forward; “[m]aking the roof slide back and forth gave the project a tiny hint of Leonardo da Vinci activity, with its wheels, wires, sliding beams and counterweights,” according to the architects. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 52% | Activity: 80% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) > [Eco Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/ecoarchitecture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Multi-purpose Cabins:** The ability to repurpose a cabin for different uses could be a disruptive innovation opportunity for the hospitality industry. - **Retractable Roofs:** The integration of retractable roofs in hospitality establishments could provide unique outdoor experiences for guests. - **Sliding Doors:** The use of sliding doors in cabins could be an opportunity for the construction industry to offer more flexible and modular building solutions. ### Where This Applies - **Hospitality:** Multi-purpose cabins with retractable roofs could provide a unique selling point for hotels and resorts. - **Construction:** The implementation of sliding doors and modular building solutions in cabins could revolutionize the construction industry. - **Outdoor Recreation:** Cabins with features like retractable roofs and sliding doors could offer a new level of outdoor experience for campgrounds and RV parks. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Rustic Forest Timber Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rever-drage.md) - [Cozy Gaden Cabin Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garden-pavilion.md) - [Outdoor-Blended Summer Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/io-cabin.md) - [Shape‑shifting Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-offgrid-house.md) - [Waterside Retreat Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bora-boral.md) - [Circular Windowed Woodland Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timber-nest.md) - [Futuristic Modular Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pebl-grand-cabin.md) - [Dark-Green Minimal Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scalar-architecture.md) - [Floating River Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floating-river-cabin.md)
