The Wooden Bulb light recreates the form of a regular, old-fashioned bulb with a [wooden cage-like structure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-soul). An actual bulb goes inside the wooden bulb. SUCK UK created the Wooden Bulb light from Barend Hemmes' design. The unusually named British design company has lots of great inventions. **Implications** - The Barend Hemmes light bulb is made out of [laser-cut wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blue-green-works), so there is a noticeable burnt edge around the light bulbs "cage." The Wooden Bulb light would look great [suspended from a ceiling](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corka) or can even be placed on the floor. The light bulb definitely creates a unique atmospheric and design statement. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 7% | Activity: 70% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Laser-cut Wood Lighting:** The use of laser-cut wood in lighting fixtures presents an opportunity for unique and visually striking designs. - **Decorative Light Bulbs:** The trend of using light bulbs as decorative elements allows for creative and customizable lighting solutions. - **Sustainable Lighting Design:** The Wooden Bulb light showcases the potential for sustainable lighting solutions using eco-friendly materials. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** The use of innovative lighting fixtures can enhance the aesthetic appeal of interior spaces. - **Home Decor:** The trend of decorative light bulbs opens up new opportunities for home decor companies to offer stylish and functional lighting options. - **Sustainable Manufacturing:** The use of eco-friendly materials in lighting design presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for sustainable manufacturing industries. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Twisting Timber Lampshade Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twisted-lasercut-wooden-lampshade.md) - [Plant Pod-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nature-inspired-pendant-light.md) - [Wooden Pendant Lamp Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wood-collection-1.md) - [Hanging Lantern-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodo-table-lamp.md) - [Wooden Sustainable Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodo.md) - [American Oak Pendant Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-bean.md) - [Sculpted Wooden Desktop Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sleepy-wood-desk-lamp.md) - [Timber Wood Handmade Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/onu-series.md) - [Turned Wood-Inspired Lamp Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bobine.md)
