# Paper Logs Woodblock Post-It Notes Let You Shave Faux Wood by Tearing Memos By Tisah Tucknott | Published 2009-08-10 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodblock-post-it-notes References: [gadgets.boingboing.net](http://gadgets.boingboing.net/2009/08/10/woodblock-post-it-no.html) & [matomeno.in](http://matomeno.in/products/item-705.html) These Woodblock Post-It Notes by Kakuzai add an element of irony to any desk it sits on. The large [stack of post-its](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/postit-brand-x-pantone) looks identical to a [block of wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/capsule-tower) (and can easily be mistaken for one). Tear up and shave the wooden block down by removing sheets of paper. The unique design of the [memo pad](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/note-clip) comes complete with circular lines that show the age of the tree that the wood was taken from. What a great gift for stationary lovers. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 21% | Activity: 42% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Eco-friendly Stationary:** Opportunity for eco-friendly stationary products that mimic natural elements. - **Novelty Desk Accessories:** Opportunity for unique and playful desk accessories that add a touch of irony to the workspace. - **Sustainable Material Applications:** Opportunity for innovative applications of sustainable materials in everyday products. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Stationary:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for stationary companies to develop eco-friendly and novelty products. - **Gifts and Souvenirs:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for gift and souvenir companies to offer unique and sustainable desk accessories. - **Woodworking:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for woodworking industry to explore new ways to repurpose and utilize sustainable wood materials. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Paper-Free To-Do Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eminder.md) - [Wooden Magnetic Desktop Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oakywood-oakyblocks-magnetic-modules.md) - [Wood-Crafted Eco-Friendly Crayons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-crayon.md) - [Sticky Notes Holder Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/postit-note-holder.md) - [Modern Wooden Desk Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ofiistory-desk-supplies.md) - [Digital Productivity Desk Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desk-accessory-concept.md) - [Elegant Analog Note Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/note-taking-kit.md) - [Multipurpose Workstation Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oakywood-wooden-cubic-pot.md) - [Sustainable Timber-Made Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodio-block-toilet.md)
