The dog house was handcrafted using [reclaimed redwood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shor-house). All of this is supported by a fir and redwood frame. [Redwood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/redwood-house) was used because of its natural rot resistance which keeps the dog house safe from the elements. Despite the wood construction, the dog house will keep your pooch completely dry. The shelter is completely watertight so that you never have to worry about leaks. This is emphasized by the planked wood roof which ensures your pet doesn't get exposed to even the most extreme weather. If you're worried about your dog being confined, you don't have to. The dog house has a tall door which allows for fresh air to enter the spacey interior. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 80% | Activity: 99% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) > [Eco Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/ecoarchitecture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Upcycled Pet Products:** Creating pet products from upcycled materials provides an innovative and environmentally friendly option for consumers. - **Eco-friendly Pet Housing:** Designing pet housing using sustainable materials allows for environmentally conscious pet ownership. - **Waterproof Pet Shelters:** Developing pet shelters that are entirely watertight provides an innovative and safe option for outdoor pet housing. ### Where This Applies - **Pet Accessories:** Incorporating upcycling materials into the design of pet accessories can open up a new market for sustainable and innovative pet products. - **Eco-friendly Home Design:** Including sustainable and upcycled materials into home design can inspire eco-friendly choices for pet owners. - **Outdoor and Gardening:** Creating waterproof shelters and housing options for pets fits into the outdoor and gardening industry by providing a durable and safe option for pets in an outdoor environment. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Simple Unibody Dog Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cottage-dog-house.md) - [Sustainable Dog Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doggie-dreamhouse.md) - [Rollable Bell-Shaped Dog Kennels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poochchair.md) - [Off-Grid Dog House Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-house-prototype.md) - [Workplace-Friendly Doghouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barc-dog-kennel.md) - [Interactive Modular Pet Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-fetch-house.md) - [Pet-Accommodating Bed Frame Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-hut-bed.md) - [Bauhaus-Inspired Mobile Doghouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bowowhaus.md) - [Geodesic Dome Dog Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/domehome-dog-bed.md)
