The device works by being used with your [existing charger](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flexible-charge-adapter) and will automatically stop the flow of power once the smartphone has been fully powered up. This is reported to double the life expectancy of a battery by preventing overcharging and allowing users to keep their device functional for longer periods. The 'Witty' charger is easy to integrate into an existing charging setup and features a built-in LED to communicate with users when their device has been fully charged. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 84% | Activity: 67% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Battery Health-enhancing Devices:** The 'Witty' charger prevents smartphone overcharging and extends battery life. ### Where This Applies - **Consumer Electronics:** The 'Witty' charger disrupts the mobile charger market by addressing battery health concerns. - **Mobile Accessories:** The 'Witty' charger creates a new market segment for battery health-enhancing devices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Intentional Disconnection Device Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/share-power.md) - [Display-Equipped Smart Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dino-charger.md) - [Anti-Radiation Smartphone Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/radiationblocking-charger.md) - [Rapid Phone Charging Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swapperys-external-smartphone-battery.md) - [Toaster-Like Battery Swappers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swippitt.md) - [Bed-Like Technology Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foam-wireless-charger.md) - [Space-Saving Technology Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magepan-magnetic-wireless-charger.md) - [Anti-Distraction Smartphone Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-charging-dock-concept.md) - [Decorative Device Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tricharge-wireless-charger-concept.md)
