For the majority of adults who use a [Withings Body digital scale](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/actofit-smart-scale-home), the primary goal is to track one's weight while on a diet or exercise regime. However, with the newly introduced 'Baby Mode,' the scale can serve a more essential goal: [tracking infants' weights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-one-tracker) to make sure they are strong and healthy.

Withings Body's Baby Mode essentially works in the same way that a kitchen scale does. [Kitchen scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-delivery-platform) can be calibrated to subtract the weight of containers from the measurement, and Baby Mode does the same thing. In Withings' case, though, the container is the parent.

To use the feature, parents activate it and then step on to the scale. Once their own weight has been registered, they can step on the scale again while holding their baby, and the scale will automatically adjust by subtracting the parent's weight, promising accuracy within 100 grams.
