Its [sinewy branches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tenir-bench) can hold not only books but small pieces of art; with its hot red color and quirky shape, it has a Dr. Seuss feel about it. The smaller [bookend-like supports](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wicked-bookend) are covered in a similar hue of leather, adding a second texture to the shelving unit. Designer Jordi Mila of Spain says that The Wisdom Tree is "...for people who see books as a source of knowledge and emotions and not simply as decorative objects." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.5/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Nature-inspired Furniture:** Opportunity for designers to create furniture pieces that mimic natural elements and bring a touch of the outdoors into indoor spaces. - **Multifunctional Shelving:** Potential to develop bookshelves that not only hold books but also display art and other small objects, adding aesthetic value to functional storage. - **Playful Furniture Designs:** Room for innovative and whimsical furniture pieces that evoke a sense of imagination and playfulness, targeting consumers who appreciate unique aesthetics. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Manufacturers can explore new materials and design techniques to create nature-inspired furniture pieces that appeal to modern consumers. - **Art and Sculpture:** Artists and sculptors can experiment with unconventional mediums to create pieces that blur the line between functional furniture and artistic expression. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate playful and multifunctional furniture designs into their projects to create unique and visually appealing spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Bookshelves Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-bookshelf.md) - [Tree-Like Library Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-of-knowledge.md) - [Ceiba Tree-Inspired Spiked Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceiba-series.md) - [Sliding Wintery Landscape Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manhwabang-bookshelf.md) - [Personality-Enhancing Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ordo-book.md) - [Dynamic Geometric Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cheft.md) - [Book-Storing Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookgroove-bookrack.md) - [Minimalist Greenery Bookends](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-propagation-bookend.md) - [Toy Block-Inspired Wooden Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rotating-picture-book.md)
