The [Gecko](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/natiddy-gecko-plus) charging system is set to change all that with a [wireless mobile device](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/google-pixelsnap-charger) that powers up battery using [magnetic attachments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pokoo) and without the use of cords. This allows the smartphone user to be entirely mobile even while their device is low in battery. The Gecko charging unit features several parts including the Gecko Connector, Adapter and the Dongle. The Connector attaches to the lighting port of the smartphone while the Adapter is a magnetic strips that hooks onto the original charging cable. The Dongle then makes the connection between the two pieces wireless so that the only item attached to the phone is the Connector. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Wireless Charging Technology:** The Gecko Connector and Dongle showcase the potential for wireless charging technology in the smartphone industry. - **Cord-free Charging Solutions:** The Gecko charging system disrupts traditional charging methods, providing cord-free charging solutions for mobile devices. - **Mobility and Convenience:** The introduction of the Gecko charging unit allows users to maintain mobility and convenience while their smartphones are low on battery. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Consumer Electronics:** The Gecko charging system opens up opportunities for innovative cord-free charging solutions in the consumer electronics industry. - **Wireless Technology:** The wireless capabilities of the Gecko charging unit indicate potential advancements in the wireless technology industry. - **Mobile Accessories:** The introduction of the Gecko Connector and Dongle creates a market for innovative mobile accessories that enable wireless charging. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Magnetic Technology Charging Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magnilink-360-pro.md) - [Connected Smartphone Power Banks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-go-wireless-power-bank.md) - [Magnetic Charging Innovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connect-pro-cable.md) - [Angled Smartphone Charger Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-charger-concept.md) - [Three-in-One Smartphone Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chargepuck.md) - [Modular Three-in-One Charger Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/matrix-magnetic-charging-dock.md) - [Display-Equipped Smart Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dino-charger.md) - [Future-Facing Charging Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-charger-concepts.md) - [Outlet-Mounted Wireless Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-charging-adapter.md)
