While wire might not be an exciting material to work with artistically, when paired with the image of equally mundane everyday objects, something magical happens and both are turned into intriguing wire sculptures. Playful and entertaining, the wire sculptures range from sneakers to coffee makers and even a hand reaching over for a bottle of Heineken.

The fact that the artist behind these fun wire sculptures interacts with them makes them even more interesting. The mastermind behind them, French designer and illustrator Mickael Delalande, states, "In the beginning, wire sculpting was the means to escape everyday life but now I’m addicted to this activity." As to why he works with wire specifically, he says, "It’s easy to model with without expensive tools and it’s interesting to find the good way to lace it with the less cuts as possible."
