The bird-like, winged effect of their new 'Lavabo' design is a [washbasin](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luneup) that is both [sculpturally marvelous](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aqua-gallery) and aesthetically divine. Made incredibly from marble, a difficult medium to create such delicate objects, works successfully in this project. "The shaping of surfaces in a three-dimensional space had been achieved thanks to the performance of [CNC](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soundlink-plus) machines," explained Giacomo Cappellini. "This opens new prospects for the use of stone, marble and granite in fields where more ductile materials do still dominate incontestably." **Implications** - Homeowners are increasingly looking to outfit their homes with one-of-a-kind fixtures and fittings that reflect their personality. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 14% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Unique Home Fixtures:** Designers have the opportunity to create one-of-a-kind fixtures that cater to homeowners' desire for personalization in their homes. - **Sculptural Bathroom Design:** Creating bathroom designs that incorporate unique sculptural elements offers an innovative approach to traditional fixtures. - **Alternative Materials in Home Design:** Exploring the use of unconventional materials like marble in fixture design opens up new possibilities for the industry. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can tap into the growing demand for unique and personalized fixtures by offering a range of sculptural bathroom designs. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers have the opportunity to incorporate these winged bathroom sinks into their projects to create visually stunning and personalized spaces. - **Stone and Marble Manufacturing:** Manufacturers specializing in stone and marble can explore the use of CNC machines to create intricate and delicate fixtures for the home decor industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Modern Freestanding Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freestanding-sink.md) - [Textural Bathroom Sink Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/washbasin-collection.md) - [Angular Ceramic Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angle-washbasin.md) - [Marble Slab Washbasins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piano-washbasin.md) - [Illuminated Base Bathroom Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antoniolupi-albumelux.md) - [Dynamic Marble Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infinito.md) - [Artful Artisanal Marble Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handchiseled-marble-basin.md) - [Museum-Like Bathroom Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/face-face-bathroom-collection.md) - [Slick Bathroom Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slick-bathroom-sink.md)
