This metallic cuff clips onto the wine bottle directly. An automatic sensor located on the cuff's back senses when it's in contact with a bottle, and turns on. An LCD screen then offers a readout of the bottle's temperature, while giving suggested temperatures based on the wine's color, vintage, and location of origin. The digital wine thermometer will definitely bring out the wine snob in you, as you'll quickly learn which temperatures are best for a Californian Pinot Grigio, and Italian Riesling, or an Australian Chardonnay. It's all a matter of clipping the thermometer to your bottle, and letting it do its work. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 9% | Activity: 20% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Drinking](https://www.trendhunter.com/drinking) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Digital Wine Thermometers:** Opportunity for companies to create advanced wine thermometers that not only measure temperature, but also provide additional information on specific wines, such as pairing suggestions and optimal temperature ranges. - **Smart Wine Accessories:** Opportunity to develop a line of smart wine accessories, including smart bottle stoppers, wine aerators, and pourers, that work together to optimize wine drinking experiences. - **Personalized Wine Recommendations:** Opportunity for companies to develop AI-powered recommendation engines that learn users' wine preferences and make personalized suggestions based on their taste profiles. ### Who This Affects Most - **Wine Accessories:** Opportunity for companies in the wine accessory industry to capitalize on the trend towards smart and digital wine accessories, offering consumers more advanced products that enhance their wine drinking experience. - **Ecommerce:** Opportunity for eCommerce companies specializing in wine and alcohol to bundle digital wine thermometers with wine orders, providing consumers with a more complete product experience. - **Hospitality:** Opportunity for hotels, restaurants, and bars to offer customers a more sophisticated wine drinking experience by incorporating digital wine thermometers and other smart wine accessories into their wine service. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sizable Wine Refrigerators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/equator-advanced-appliances.md) - [Digital LED Thermometers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/therm-c.md) - [Customizable Wine Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elegant-wine-cabinet.md) - [Wireless Smart Thermometers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-smart-thermometer.md) - [Sleek Smart Wine Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wine-climate-cabinet.md) - [Metallic Wine-Aging Bar Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peugeot-clef-du-vin-wine-tool.md) - [All-Weather Cooking Thermometers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chefstemp-protemp-plus.md) - [Cabinet Drawer Wine Bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dometic-drawbar.md) - [Wine Personality Test Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wine-personality-test.md)
