The antiquated finish and overall architecture behind the cellar provides a luxe and opulent place to house bottles of wine without having to have a designated room built for the same exact purpose. Wine cellars are traditionally build as a part of the home or space, making the architecture an extensive process that typically occurs in the original design. The Sommi wine cellar cleverly allows consumers to incorporate the space at any time into their home thanks to a cabinet style design that facilitates all the same necessities as a vintage cellar. The Sommi offers tons of bottle space, a [cooling system and humidity control](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/undercounter-collection) embedded inside a sleek wooden cabinet. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 70% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Free-standing Wine Cellars:** Opportunities for disruptive innovation in the wine storage industry by creating customizable and portable wine cellar solutions. - **Cabinet Style Wine Cellars:** Disruptive opportunity to create compact and stylish wine storage solutions that can be easily incorporated into any space or home. - **Antiquated Wine Room Design:** Innovation potential in developing wine cellars with a vintage aesthetic that provide the luxury and opulence of traditional wine rooms without the need for custom construction. ### Where This Applies - **Home Design and Construction:** Disruptive opportunities in the home design and construction industry to create more flexible and versatile options for wine storage in homes. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Potential for innovation and disruption in the furniture manufacturing industry by designing and producing stylish and functional wine storage cabinets. - **Wine Retail and Hospitality:** Opportunities for disruptive innovation in the wine industry by offering unique and customizable wine storage solutions for both retail and hospitality establishments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Customizable Wine Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elegant-wine-cabinet.md) - [Progressive Wine Climate Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wine-climate-cabinets.md) - [Premium Wine Storage Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/premium-wine-storage.md) - [Cabinet Drawer Wine Bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dometic-drawbar.md) - [Sizable Wine Refrigerators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/equator-advanced-appliances.md) - [Modular Architectural Wine Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barrique-bottle-holder.md) - [AI Vision Wine Cellars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bespoke-ai-wine-cellar.md) - [Wine Cellar-Converted Summer Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/summer-house-in-mesaria.md) - [Portable Wine Coolers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-wine-cooler.md)
