# Weaving Wine Racks The Wine Knot by Scott Henderson, Tony Baxter and Alberto Mantilla By Meghan Young | Published 2010-03-04 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wine-knot References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2010/03/04/wine-wine-knot/) I feel like only grownups own [wine racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flint-wines-office); that is probably why I'm so attracted to the Wine Knot. Not because I necessarily think I'm a grownup, but because I want to believe I am. If you knew me, you would understand--people still think I'm a teenager! Of course, the Wine Knot is more appealing than its grownup status. Chic and modern, its [twisting shape](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wicker-side-table) is beautiful to behold. I don't think people will even register the [alcohol it holds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curated-european-wine) until after they've finished gawking over the Wine Knot. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 20% | Activity: 50% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Modern Wine Storage:** Opportunity to innovate traditional wine storage solutions with modern designs like the Wine Knot. - **Sculptural Design:** Growing trend towards sculptural design for functional household items like the Wine Knot wine rack. - **Home Entertaining:** Increasing popularity of home entertaining creating demand for stylish yet practical wine storage solutions like the Wine Knot. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for furniture designers to create modern and aesthetic wine storage solutions like the Wine Knot. - **Kitchenware:** Opportunity for kitchenware manufacturers to tap into the growing trend towards sculptural and visually appealing design with products like the Wine Knot wine rack. - **Home Décor:** The Wine Knot wine rack is an example of how home décor manufacturers can create functional and visually stunning items that add to the overall aesthetic of the home. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Wine-Catered Vibrant Artful Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wine-table.md) - [Premium Wine Storage Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/premium-wine-storage.md) - [Bottle-Optimizing Wine Stoppers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wine-stopper-1.md) - [On-the-Go Wine Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultimate-wine-bundle.md) - [Space-Saving Wine Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-splitglass.md) - [Wine-Storage Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/placemat-hightop-table.md) - [Climbing Rope-Crafted Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/entwined-objects.md) - [Artistic Wine Opener Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artistic-wine-opener.md) - [Wine Retail Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enofilo.md)
