# Futuristic LED Butteries The Wine Cellar by Jamie Beckwith Masterfully Mixes Old and New By Meghan Young | Published 2012-11-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wine-cellar-by-jamie-beckwith References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/led-wine-cellar-by-jamie-beckwith/) & [beckwithinteriors](http://www.beckwithinteriors.com/) The [Wine Cellar](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/premium-wine-storage) by Jamie Beckwith, an interior designer based in Nashville, Tennessee, looks like something straight out of a sci-fi movie. In particular, the "TRON: Legacy" film. That is because it has been outfitted with acrylic arches that have been lined with LED lights. These LED lights glow a vibrant blue, which happens to be the main color used in "TRON: Legacy." Based in a home located in Franklin, Tennessee, the Wine Cellar by Jamie Beckwith is a combination of both warm and cold elements. While cellars tend to lean on the colder side, the LED lights actually work to accentuate the warmth of the wood paneling, tiled floors and, of course, the rich colors of the [wine bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enofilo) themselves. All in all, it is a masterful mix of old and new. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.3/10 - Popularity: 88% | Activity: 92% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **LED Lighting in Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate LED lighting to create futuristic and visually striking spaces. - **Combining Warm and Cold Elements in Design:** Designers can explore the juxtaposition of warm and cold elements to create unique and captivating environments. - **Incorporating Sci-fi Aesthetics in Architecture:** Architects can draw inspiration from sci-fi movies to design spaces that evoke a futuristic and immersive experience. ### Where This Applies - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can leverage LED lighting and the mix of warm and cold elements to create innovative and visually stunning designs. - **Architecture:** Architects can incorporate the sci-fi aesthetic to create futuristic and visually captivating architectural designs. - **Lighting Technology:** LED lighting companies can explore new opportunities in interior design to provide innovative lighting solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Adaptive Wine Workspaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flint-wines-office.md) - [Customizable Wine Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elegant-wine-cabinet.md) - [Progressive Wine Climate Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wine-climate-cabinets.md) - [AI Vision Wine Cellars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bespoke-ai-wine-cellar.md) - [Wine-Catered Vibrant Artful Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wine-table.md) - [European Wine Stores](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thatchers-wine.md) - [Premium Wine Storage Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/premium-wine-storage.md) - [Cabinet Drawer Wine Bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dometic-drawbar.md) - [Wine Retail Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enofilo.md)
