# Portable Suctioning Cushions The Window Travel Pillow Encourages People to Relax to the Side By Meghan Young | Published 2014-05-23 | World Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/window-travel-pillow References: [ohgizmo](http://www.ohgizmo.com/2014/05/22/snooze-comfort-window-travel-pillow/) & [windowpillow](http://windowpillow.com/) Neck pillows are meant to make travelling more comfortable, yet they often become as much a part of the problem as they are a solution; the Window Travel Pillow provides a promising alternative. It encourages people to lean to the side against a sturdier support system for a better resting position. There is less of a chance to jerk forwards in this position. As affordable as it is comfortable, the Window Travel Pillow was designed by two "best friends who want to make the world a little cozier," as written on their website, Bharath Krishnamoorthy and Shawn Vo. What really makes the L-shaped cushions stand out are its suction cups that help them stay put securely. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 8% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [World](https://www.trendhunter.com/world) > [Travel](https://www.trendhunter.com/travel) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Comfortable Travel Pillows:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in designing travel pillows that provide superior comfort and support for long journeys. - **Alternative Resting Positions:** Opportunity to create innovative products that encourage travelers to adopt alternative resting positions for better comfort and reduced strain on the neck. - **Secure Support Systems:** Opportunity to develop travel pillows with secure support systems, such as suction cups, to prevent movement and provide a stable resting experience. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Travel Accessories:** Disruptive innovation within the travel accessories industry by creating innovative and comfortable travel pillows. - **Health and Wellness:** Opportunity in the health and wellness industry to design products that promote better posture and reduce strain during travel. - **Product Design:** Opportunity in the field of product design to create innovative support systems for travel pillows that enhance comfort and stability. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Neck-Safe Travel Pillows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabeau-tne-s3.md) - [Multi-Purpose Travel Pillows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allinone-travel-pillow-system.md) - [Face-First Flight Rest Aids](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rest-aid.md) - [Sensory Deprivation Travel Pillows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pod-travel-pillow.md) - [Adaptive Ergonomic Pillows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tripal.md) - [Two-In-One Neck Pillows Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neck-pillow-lounge.md) - [Customized Compressible Camp Pillows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camp-pillow.md) - [Customizable Pocket Pillows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sururu-pillow-p17.md) - [Fuzzy Oversized Neck Pillows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buffy-nook-pillow.md)
