The Willoughby Design Barn is a great example of how sometimes the materials needed to start a new project can be found by conveniently [recycling something old](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gaushala).

Designed by a firm called El Dorado, over 56% of the Willoughby Design Barn's material expenses were salvaged from existing buildings which were set for demolition. The building's [timber frame](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-w-1), for example, was taken from a neighbor's old barn, while its flooring came from an old school gymnasium. Despite its zombie-like origins, the barn still effortlessly captures the look and feel of a [modern event space](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/salt-hq).
