Although many people will not be thrilled by the idea of carrying around a seat, you never know when this will come in handy. The WIKL Stool will also be great to have at home when an [impromptu seat](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loki-stool) is needed around the house. Designed by Gerlinde Gruber, the WIKL Stool features an interesting [knotted design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knit-one) that will intrigue those looking for both regular and [portable furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/omniseat-portable-productivity). The seat is made up of haphazardly wrapped fabric, giving it a colorful, casual feel that is also refined thanks to the simple, polished legs. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 51% | Activity: 5% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Portable Seating:** Creating collapsible and lightweight seating solutions for easy transportation and convenience. - **Knotted Design:** Incorporating unique and intricate knotted patterns into furniture design for visual appeal and artistic expression. - **Impromptu Furniture:** Designing versatile furniture pieces that can be easily set up and used on-the-go or in unconventional spaces. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** Exploring innovative materials and construction techniques to create portable and flexible seating options. - **Home Decor:** Introducing decorative and functional furniture pieces that can be easily incorporated into various living spaces. - **Outdoor Recreation:** Developing lightweight and compact seating solutions for camping, picnics, and other outdoor activities. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Functional Flat-Packed Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/walle-stool.md) - [Interlocking Wooden Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-tie-stool.md) - [Multifaceted Geometric Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stackable-stools.md) - [Active Sitting Cork Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ylin-stool.md) - [Ultra-Simple Workstation Seats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/verk-stool.md) - [Fan-Shaped Stackable Stool Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stool-concept.md) - [DIY Flatpack Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/that-stool.md) - [Bright Colorful Structural Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fels.md) - [Cross Leg-Supported Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/euljiro.md)
